The evolution of modern higher education is becoming increasingly linked to the emergence of new approaches to traditional pedagogical systems and processes that ensure the competitiveness of national education systems in the global market and their ability to effectively address contemporary challenges. To support sustainable economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the adoption and qualitative enhancement of the world’s best practices in education is of paramount importance for APEC.

Participants of the session are encouraged to highlight new trends in higher education and discuss approaches to boost the image of regional education networks, as well as outline unique educational specificities of APEC member economies beneficial for harmonious and sustainable development.
